Kolorob Trained Youth on Open Street Map and Kolorob Data Collection Tool

Kolorob arranged a two-day long training on OpenStreetMap and Kolorob data collection tool for 45 youth. Youth got training on OpenStreetMap at the first day of the training. Three facilitators, along with trainer, had facilitated the trainees throughout the session. The purpose of the training was to build the youth’s capacity so they can actively contribute in building and maintaining their community map and access to information. OpenSteetMap is an open and freely editable map of the world powered by volunteers from all around the world.

On the second day, youth got training on Kolorob Data Collection Tool. The Kolorob app developed by the Kolorob Social Accountability Project has a built in Data Collection function through which GeoData with information of Kolorob related categories such as Education, Health, Legal etc. can be collected. OpenStreetMap is the base map for the app.
